File Setup Guidelines
To ensure your custom cut-out prints exactly as expected, please follow these setup guidelines:
- File Format: PDF (preferred), AI, PSD, or high-resolution PNG
- Resolution: 150–300 DPI at full size (large format standard)
- Color Mode: CMYK (RGB files will be converted and colors may shift)
- Cut Path (VERY IMPORTANT):
- Provide a vector cut line for custom shapes
- Use a solid stroke (1pt) in a spot color named “CutContour”
- Keep cut line on a separate layer
- Bleed: 0.125″ (1/8″) beyond cut line
- Safe Zone: Keep all important content at least 0.25″ inside cut line
- Fonts: Outline or embed all fonts
- Image Quality: Use high-resolution images to avoid pixelation at large sizes
Important Notes
- Low-resolution artwork will result in blurry or pixelated prints
- If no cut path is provided, we will create a basic outline cut
- Thin or complex cuts may be simplified for structural stability
- Double-check all artwork before submitting
